Trevor & I got Sharon’s car all put back together. Radio is just as rigged as the previous owner’s, but it works. Got the cigarette lighter working, and used it to power her new Drive+Play that I snagged @ BestGuy.

Got everything put back together, and the cig lighter didn’t work. The damn ground wire came off as we were putting everything back in place.

2nd try and the iPod interface cable is loose into the HK control box. Its sufficiently buried that we didn’t want to fuck with it at 4 in the morning. Sharon left for work right after I got up today, so it will probably be a few days before I can fix it.

Also, the Drive+Play screen’s adhesive base doesn’t seem to be sticky enough to stay in place. Gunna crazy glue the shit out of it!!

All in all, she got a new deck, new amp, iPod integration, and new rear speakers. Oh, and everything is connected. And working. Properly. Except the one rigged wire to make the stereo worked. But it was like that when we got here. Point is, it works, dammit.

No useless amp. No tons of wires everywhere not connected to anything. No missing or blown speakers.

Oh, and I still gotta fix the iPod interface… D’oh!
