Bustikated was always a child-hood favorite among the partially made up, partially self-explanatory nonsensical words. It means completely and unquestioningly totally FUBAR. Like that probe that crashed into the side of mars. Like Countrywide’s stock. Like me after 20 too many beers. You know what I’m talking about.

Mission

To make great stuff. Have lots of fun. Possibly make some cash.

Philosophy

I do this because I like to, and because I want to. Not because I’m stuck in some cubical workin’ a 9 to 5 like my livelihood depends on it. But more like I work full time, and then spend about 30 hours a week doing design or researching ideas or dreaming up projects. This is what I’d do if I won the lottery and could afford to quit my day job.

I have always been a ninny about technology and the web especially. My friends refer to me as the tech snob among other, less rated G things. I like to take my time, do the job the right way. I admit that having cool code is at least as important to me as having a great layout. That understanding the site and how it works is key when designing a site or any program, for that matter. The coolest thing about the web is that your imagination (and your wallet, to some extent) determine what you can and can’t do.

The fact that I have a day job, with a very flexible schedule allows me the opportunity to do what I enjoy as well. I have the luxury of only taking on projects that truly interest me, and give them the time they need. I am also able to build excellent relationships with clients. Things like house calls—on site demos, training and technical support make your job easier for you, and for me.

Disclaimer

This isn’t your company’s IT department! No one has ever accused me of being corporate or mundane or even orthodox. Mostly they think I’m crazy.
